Afternoon Child Care Assistant

Intro:

We are hiring part-time employees for our afternoon program (3pm-5:45pm Monday - Friday) and to work as a substitute on an as needed/as available basis.

Signal Centers is always looking to hire qualified people to work with children in our childcare center. Our children range in age from 6 weeks to 5 years old and we offer an inclusive environment for children with special needs. This job is ideal for people with part-time jobs, college students, retirees and gig workers.

You will be engaging children in playtime activities, supervising playground time, participating in early learning and literacy activities and more. Ensuring the safety of the children and following proper check-out procedures are paramount. 

 


Qualifications:

QUALIFICATIONS:
We prefer at least a CDA or Associates Degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field.

Must be at least 21 years old and have a High school Diploma/GED.

Must have at least one-year experience working with children 6 wks - 5 yrs old in a professional childcare setting.

Experience working with children or adults with special needs is highly desirable.

Knowledge of Child Care licensing rules is highly desirable.

Will be required to get TBI Fingerprinting and a health screening with TB skin test completed.
